Osteopenia is the precursor to osteoporosis and both mean that there is a loss of bone thickness at one or many points of the skeletal system. It has been proven that weight bearing exercises and resistance exercises will help to strengthen the bone. This is not only true in regards to osteopenia /osteoporosis, but with the healing of a fracture to a bone as well. Many women are diagnosed with osteopenia/osteoporosis, however, men can also suffer from loss of bone mass. In addition to weight bearing or resistance exercises, eating whole foods, including green leafy vegetables and more vegetables in general, eating less fried and fatty foods and supplementing the body with a good multivitamin/mineral will aid in strengthening the bones. Poor nutrition and being sedentary will progress the disease. We provide all of the necessary services to help you to improve the quality of your bone mass.
