The ultimate goal of physical therapy is to help a client regain full functional mobility or the ability to move freely and independently. Although some injuries or illnesses make it impossible to regain full use of the physical body, many can be treated with “hands-on” techniques, modalities (electrical stimulation, ultrasound), traction and as the symptoms subside, therapeutic exercises to help regain the movement. If you are attempting to increase your physical movement for general health reasons, exercise or simple enjoyment, but pain is limiting you, physical therapy can help to reduce the symptoms, improve mobility of the injured area and teach exercises to improve your tolerance and endurance of movement. Let us help you to “move” again.
