Yes. Direct Access physical therapy allows a client to visit their physical therapist for an evaluation and treatment without visiting another health care practitioner first. This allows immediate treatment for the new injury or treatment for an ailment that has not responded otherwise. Often times, the need for further testing or invasive treatment can be eliminated with the use of physical therapy first.
